Products & Range

The range is divided into three lines by age group. The Foundation line (Ages 4–10) supports early cognitive development and school readiness. The Scholar line (Ages 11–15) is designed for secondary school performance. The Apex line (Ages 16–18) is built for university preparation. Within each line, products target specific needs — focus, memory, sleep or stress resilience. If you are unsure, start with the core daily product for your child's age group: First Light (Foundation), Clear Mind (Scholar) or The Scholar's Stack (Apex).

Yes, within each line the products are designed to complement each other. The Scholar's Stack (Apex) is specifically designed as an AM and PM system. However, we recommend consulting a healthcare professional before combining multiple products, particularly for children under 12, to ensure total daily intakes remain within appropriate levels for your child's age and weight.

The majority of Oxford Formula products use vegetarian capsules and plant-derived ingredients. Please note: products containing Omega-3 DHA/EPA (First Light, Deep Memory, The Scholar's Stack) source these fatty acids from fish oil, which is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. Full allergen and suitability information is printed on each product label. We are developing algae-derived Omega-3 alternatives for future formulations.

The Interview is a short-term targeted formula in the Apex line, designed for use in the weeks surrounding high-stakes university interviews — Oxbridge, Russell Group and international applications. It supports verbal fluency, calm authority and sharp recall. Take one capsule 60–90 minutes before an interview or preparation session. It can also be taken daily in the two weeks leading up to an interview period for a more sustained effect.

Safety & Ingredients

Yes. Every Oxford Formula product is formulated specifically for children and teenagers in the stated age range, using ingredients and dosages within UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) guidelines. All products are manufactured in a GMP-certified facility and independently third-party tested before dispatch. As with any supplement, we recommend consulting your GP or a registered nutritionist before introducing new supplements to your child's routine, particularly if they take prescribed medications or have known health conditions.

Our products are manufactured in a facility that handles nuts, gluten, soy and dairy. Whilst individual products are formulated without these allergens, we cannot guarantee the absence of trace contamination. Full allergen information is printed on each product label. Products containing fish-derived Omega-3 are not suitable for those with fish allergies. If your child has a known allergy, please review the full label carefully and consult a healthcare professional before use.

No Oxford Formula product contains caffeine. We do not use any stimulant compounds. Some adaptogenic ingredients (particularly Rhodiola Rosea) can have mildly energising effects in some individuals, which is why we recommend taking formulas containing Rhodiola in the morning rather than the evening. Deep Work and Examination both carry this guidance on their labels.

Yes. Certificates of Analysis for any current batch are available on request. Please contact us at quality@theoxfordformula.com with your order number and the product name. We aim to respond within two working days.

How to Use

Most Oxford Formula products are designed for morning use with breakfast — this aligns with natural cortisol rhythms and supports daytime cognitive performance. Rest & Restore (Foundation) is taken 30–60 minutes before bedtime. The Scholar's Stack (Apex) has a dedicated AM and PM protocol. Specific timing guidance is printed on each product label and detailed on each product page on this website.

This varies by product and individual. Some ingredients — particularly L-Theanine and Magnesium Glycinate — have effects that can be noticed within days of starting. Others, particularly Bacopa Monnieri, have the strongest evidence for effects after 8 to 12 weeks of consistent daily use. We recommend a minimum 90-day trial of any daily formula before assessing its effect. Short-term formulas like The Interview and Examination are designed for acute use and effects may be felt from the first use.

Yes, we recommend taking all Oxford Formula products with food. Fat-soluble vitamins (including D3) and Omega-3 fatty acids are better absorbed alongside a meal containing fat. Taking supplements with food also reduces the likelihood of any gastrointestinal discomfort, particularly in younger children.

Manufacturing

Every Oxford Formula product is manufactured in Oxford, England, by a GMP-certified contract manufacturing facility. This is not a marketing claim — it is our actual supply chain. We deliberately chose an Oxford-based manufacturer to ensure close oversight of quality, consistency and batch integrity. The facility operates to European Good Manufacturing Practice standards.

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is the quality management standard applied to pharmaceutical and food supplement production. A GMP-certified facility has been independently audited and approved for its manufacturing processes, quality control systems, equipment, staff training and record-keeping. It is the same standard applied to licensed medicines. Most supplement manufacturers do not hold this certification — it is a significant differentiator in our market.

Yes. We source premium, trademarked ingredient forms wherever available — including KSM-66® Ashwagandha and Affron® Saffron Extract — because these have the strongest individual clinical evidence bases and are produced to documented quality standards. All ingredient suppliers are vetted for quality certification and our manufacturer conducts incoming quality checks on all raw materials before production.
